This is an important release due to the many new features including the much anticipated Tags feature. Apart from it, the Joomla 3.1 release also includes few more exciting new features :

  • Mediawiki package
  • Show logs in debug console
  • Pagination in COM_SEARCH component
  • Union all feature
  • Openstreetmap package

Our plan for Joomla 3.1 update :

Following up with Joomla 3.1 release, all your T3 Framework lovers out there are going to get your T3 Framework compatible with this version very soon (yup, soon here means a couple of days max). Other templates which are built on our latest T3 Framework version and recent updated extensions will be coming along as well.

Stay tuned for our upcoming announcements on our future updates incorporating Joomla 3.1. But remember, if you are building a website Joomla 2.5 is the way to go, Joomla 3.x series are short term releases.
