Since we developed Joomla Admin template - JA Admin, we have been recieving requests to develop tools to make Joomla backend more practical and information rich. Almost everyone uses Google Analytics for their sites and usually needs to login to Google Analytics separately to see how the site is doing in general.

The google analytics module that we previewed with JA Admin was a very basic one and so we have worked upon it to make it provide specific information related to routine analytics. Thus came the idea to develop specific dashboards for specific analytics view.

We have recently updated our JA Social Feed Plugin to even support RSS feeds into Joomla. With this update the JA Social feed plugin now supports all the popular social channels, making it easier for anyone to pull content from social channels into Joomla content or K2 content. On top of that, it can either be automatic pull or manual updates. With multiple profiles inbuilt, you can pull public feeds of any social account of interest to your website users.

JA Social Feed plugin version 1.2.6 has been released. The new version includes 3 bug fixes, back-end improvement, update result page after importing and new feature - support RSS Feed.

JA K2 Filter version 1.1.6 has just released with a great new feature: applying relevance search. The feature allows you to define score for elements in your K2 item: title, meta description, meta keywork, description, etc. Once you search with any query, the system will calculate score for each item and set order of items in search result page based on the score.

Back in the day, the news and rumors find their way around the community by word of mouths, which hasn’t been taken at its full advantage in this constantly changing digital world today. The words of mouth is now lied within the social network, and Ellen has recently reconfirmed that doubt with the most retweeted tweet of all time that broke Twitter for a good whole 15 mins during the Oscar award night.

First month of the new year deserve much more than regular monthly releases, for starters we are releasing 3 cool FREE Joomla extensions which we are sure would be very useful for your websites. Yes, they are responsive too and works great with both Joomla 2.5 & Joomla 3.

We got exciting news for everyone, our free Joomla translation component - JA Multilingual now also supports Google translate apart from Bing Translator. While both the services are great, Bing allows 2 million characters translations a month for free whereas Google translate is fully commercial. We have a little comparison chart down below highlighting the features of Bing translator and Google translate.

We have also updated JA Multilingual component to support auto translation of metatags and meta description, which should be helpful from the SEO point of view. The new version also fixes the bugs reported by users.

Building a Joomla 2.5 or Joomla 3 multilingual site can be tricky, we encountered difficulties while trying to setup multi-language demo site to demonstrate our RTL language layouts for our latest templates. We developed a internal tool to overcome the problems we faced and we thought why not add more options and release the extension as FREE for the benefit of the Joomla! community.
