Dear members & friends, Joomla.org has finally given face to the Joomla Community and have launched http://people.joomla.org. Certainly on its way to be the hot spot for the community members. We have created group for our members and have initiated some discussions too. Its a great opportunity to meet and discuss with the community members, so Join in and be part of it.

JA JobBoard V 1.4.3 &  JA Voice 1.3.1 are now released. These are improvement and bug fixes releases. Please read the announcement in the respective forum. Check the Changelog for JA JobBoard 1.4.3 & JA Voice 1.3.1 . Also JA Ores 1.0.0 Beta version is released for downloads today.

As mentioned in the Top 10 for 2010 announcement and Its Overview, its time to release the preview as the systems have reached the beta stages and is under intense testing. Its a unique and never seen before system in Joomla! Sphere and i am sure, i have not seen anything like this before. Its a concept which was developed last year and after these 5-6 months of development, it has taken the shape.

This is to announce that keeping in view and in respect of the Open Source Matters ( OSM ) Trademark Policies & Guidelines governing the Joomla CMS, we have decided to update the Terms of Service and Licensing info, pertaining to all Joomla related products, w.e.f 01/04/2010, all the PHP code of  JoomlArt's Joomla Products (Templates (JATC) and Extensions (JAEC) ), would be governed by GNU/GPLv2 GPL version 2.0 license. We had been preparing for this for quite some time and thats why T3 Framework was released as GNU/GPL and all the latest releases of JA JobBoard and JA Voice are open-source, we took off the ion-cube from these enterprise extensions in December 2009 releases. Now, its time to extend the licensing to other Joomla products. However, to avoid off-shelf rip-offs and re-distribution at large, only the PHP files would be covered by GPL license, the images / CSS / JS elements etc, would remain under Proprietary License of JA, and their usage restricted by Terms of Services governing the JATC / JAEC Club membership and subscription privileges. The above said notices will be updated on JA main site on 01/04/2010.

Part I - Upcoming Product Versioning and Packaging workflow.

Introduction:

As mentioned in the Top 10 of 2010. We are all set to introduce enhanced product download and upgrade system for our users. JA Update System comprises of New Versioning and Packaging system, Update component for Joomla, to update JA Products right from the Joomla Back-end and complete overhaul of JA product management. The overview is divided into two parts. Have fun reading it.

Eight months of development has gone into this system and currently the new system is under test phase and we are pleased with its performance so far. However, It will still take some time for it be pronounced as Stable and to be put into action.

1T3 Framework to be the Solid Core for JA Templates

• Currently T3 framework is Mobile Ready, supports RTL Natively, Multi Layouts capabilities, CSS Sprites and Mega menu support [guide].
• More features will be added to T3 Framework and refinement of the features would be an ongoing process.
• Improvised Mega Menu implementation coming up. It can't be easier than this (for now)....

2 JA Drupal Template club is here
