Anyone else seen the latest JoomlaPraise template?

I think it’s the worst template I’ve ever seen. I don’t think it could be any worse if they tried! I know I complain about JA releasing similar styles but they are still top class templates individually.

TemplatePlazzas March release[/url] is more what a CB site should look like. How did JP get it soooo wrong?

What an abortion! The intro page says it all village ppl style workers in hard hats and yellow rubber gloves 😀 hmmmn lloks like a 4 yrs olds first Joomla site

The second one is much neater and has features, mind you styles 2 and 4 are bright! and in style 2 the bubbles cover the menu text but its better than most and at least the style is a whole colour change not just a text and 1 box here like ja does

I’ve been away for a few days (windsurfing in Margarita) so have only just got round to looking at this months offerings from some of the other clubs. This month is probably the worst I have ever seen. I think the winter blues have set in and curdled the minds of some of the designers.

Yootheme is ok(ish) but Rockettheme’s IMO terrible.

I think the dark style of RT’s is OK. But yea… most of the others suck.

You know, worst template ever? I have seen worse sites that first were super nice and clean Joomla templates in their demo look, before the people went on working on them.

Taking this in reverse, maybe one may see some very good site when taking this template and working it over, rather than working down a super fancy one…;)

Maybe.

But the point in joining a club is that the work is already done for you. Yes, I know designers want to customise it to their own needs but the novice who just wants to get a site up ASAP is going to want to make very few changes.

What makes me laugh is even the piracy sites are saying this is the worst template ever… even though they are stealing it and getting it for nothing.

I don’t know, when you look at the layout, okay, not very clever made but replace all the colors with some nice patterns and this would not be a lot of work at all.

Also, when those piracy sites have it already and offer it for free, where did they get it from without paying, someone must have given it to them and must have paid for it to get it.

Still I mean that a lot of people who use more fancy ones and later the sites look not even better as this one without any customization of it, because everything is fitting where it sits, that shows that some people should rather take those templates and make a site that is later clean and okay but not fancy instead of having a “fancy wreck” that looks bad as nothing is fitting to each other anymore. The point is, with this template you can make nothing wrong, as all you do is add some content, where with all the fancy ones, often even the own content and how it was placed makes the site look horrible where there any type of horrible content or otherwise misplaced extensions and so on will still match with this one.

This is what I can say, referring to the bigger picture when you later look over the sites, simply no gimmicks that only come good when a developer really knows how to use those in the fancy templates.

Think you understand what I mean.

Look at this, the new template by Joomlapolis to match with Community Builder is simply battling the Praisebuilder for position “Worst Template in the galaxy ever”…

This is even more horrible than the Praisbuilder template, in a combination of both, one could say , the “worst template in the whole universe…”

And they want 20€ for it!:D:D:D:D:D I’d rather give a homeless, ahh, forget it, I’d rather spend 20€ in a casino, than purchasing any of those…
