No one ever responded to me about the problem in the last week. K2 v3 doesn’t appear to be available. I guess it’s a $35 dollar donation to joomlart.

Kindly try the JA K2 download from here and install it , It seems you are installing A K2 Filter for K2 version 3 .

If you are not using K2 v3 i suggestion you to install package from the suggested link .
Let me know if there is still problem to install the package .
