Quickstart Installation error

    When i try to install the sample data (option 2) i still get a duplicate error.
    I’ve tried to delete the old database but no sollution. Any other options?

    Ok, folks, there is defiantly something wrong with the install. I have downloaded and installed 3 different themes and they all work except for Charity.

    Ones I tried.
    Wall,
    Uber
    Even went back a bit and tried JA Playmag.

    I am getting the same issue as the others goes to install and just then reverts back to the last page of the install.

    It works for me when i do not select the extra data. If you do not need any example data, you can try that instead?

    It works for me when i do not select the extra data. If you do not need any example data, you can try that instead?

    Ok so far the issue seems to be at the creating database tables. It start to create them, the progress bar beside the creating tables advances then all of a sudden as second progress bar is appearing over the top and slightly to the right of the first. Then roughy 3 seconds later it reverts back to the 3 overview page.

    Nope still does the same thing. I do think it really needs to be looked into.

    I just re-downloaded again and tried to install. I have been developing Joomla sites for over 10 years now, and never have I seen this issue before..never have I had an issue installing JoomlArt quickstart like this before….

    I am installing this on my ‘Siteground’ VPS..Yes Siteground, the hosting company that Joomla uses and is specifically setup to work better with Joomla.

    It’s mean quickstart is working fine. Just all about server side issue not correctly.

    # IMO. I’m not suggest to use Siteground.
    They are not up to date for most of services: PHP / Apache / MySQL etc …
    And have some limited of resource.

    hmm. then could it be that I am right up todate and there is a issue with joomla install and the newest services? I run my own server as it is much cheaper, easier to work with and upgrade.
