January 25, 2007 at 1:58 am #213627It looks quite good, however you should optimize and reduce the size of header images which took quite long to load at my ADSL connection
January 25, 2007 at 2:46 am #213631also your header png does not lok goog in IE

I installed the Ultimate PNG-Fix from Joomlaworks and now my header-png seems to look fine. :-[
Thanks everybody for the feedback.

I changed size (# bytes) )of my header-pictures. Quality is a little less, but still ok (in my opinion).

February 7, 2007 at 7:21 am #214183pswemmelaar.nl is a great modification of Joomlart template. 🙂
However, why do you still have “site tools” there when they are not working? 🙂Well done I say! Love the effect of the large W in Website.. 🙂
February 7, 2007 at 7:55 am #214188Very nice website. I like how the large W overlays the flash header. Very nicely done.
I’m curious as to what program you use to compress your images. The takes a while to load on my connection also, and I’ve gotten close to 1MB download rates.
Personally I use XAT, found here:
http://www.xat.com/jpegopt/index.htmlIt’s very efficient and compresses images very well!
Also the Site Tools seems to be working just fine for me, loading what I assume are style sheets to change the colors.
Only other suggestion would be to replace the favicon.ico
You can generate a favicon in MS Paint, Photoshop, or whatever and use a free online converter to make a favicon. DynamicDrive has a nice one:
http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/Great job with the site! 😎

Thanx Erik, for the compliments. :-[
Sometimes the ultimatePNG fix-mambot sometimes make the Sitetools not work, but most of the time they work. :p

Hi Jason,
Thankx for compliments. I made my jpg’s smaller as you said. Can you test it for me please, if they are loading a little faster.
Thankx,

I made the image of the JA-Xenia Without text and logo’s (for all 3 colors) and made my own logo (new image). Then I made the same code as the JA-Xenia logo for my own logo and place it right after the code for JA-Xenia logo (see sample).
[PHP]
….
<div id=”ja-header” class=”clearfix”><h1>
<a href=”index.php”>
<img src=”<?php echo $ja_template_path;?>/images/logo-<?php echo $ja_color; ?>.jpg” alt=”<?php echo $mosConfig_sitename?>” />
</a>
</h1><h1>
<a href=”index.php”>
<img src=”<?php echo $ja_template_path;?>/images/logo.png” alt=”<?php echo $mosConfig_sitename?>” />
</a
</h1><div id=”ja-topnavwrap” class=”clearfix”>
….

February 9, 2007 at 1:21 am #214301Excellent ! Simple and clean solution
Thank you – I’ll give it a try over the weekend 😉
This is a classic example of HOW a forum should work … see my comments in thread:http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/great-templates-bad-support/
If there were a Wiki this should be in it.
