Hi, i created a menu item for JA Mega Filter and selected this layout:
JA Mega Filter » Default Layout

the issue I have is that the url is too long:
http://www.site.com/component/com_jamegafilter/Itemid,3296/autopage,1/direction,vertical/fullpage,1/id,1/itempercol,3/itemperrow,5/jalayout,default/scrolltop,1/sticky,0/view,default

How can I fix that? im using SH404SEF for the seo.

Hi,

Did you create JA Megafilter menu item? Normally, when you create JA Megafilter and you select filter values to search, the link should be: http://ja-megafilter-content.demo.joomlart.com/#category=11&tag=6&color=%2523c91c1c&page=1
And this is just filter link, when you view an item, the url will follow Joomla standard link like: http://ja-megafilter.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/k2-items/item/35-kathy-van-zeeland-knockout-ring-shopper

Hey there, I’m a sh404sef user too and I had the same problem before. After consulting with sh404sef support, I fixed it with a workaround.

The issue is that JA Megafilter doesn’t use router.php so sh404sef doesn’t store the URLs for megafilter.

To JoomlaArt staff: sh404sef doesn’t use menu items aliases to generate URLs so that’s why it gives that link. You should probably have each megafilter have an unique alias and create a router.php that uses that alias.

To Sam, until JoomlArt adds a router.php for JA Megafilter, you have to do a workaround:

• Create a NEW URL (for example "my-custom-url/") in your sh404sef control panel pointing to the nonsef URL of the megafilter (temporarily disable SEF to find out what it is)
• Create an External Link Menu Item that links to "my-custom-url/" and use this menu item to link to the Megafilter
• Hide the actual Megafilter menu ("Display in Menu" set to no)

Hi,

JA Megafitler doesn’t support for SH404 as it uses JSON to retrieve the Results.
