Hello I have 2 issues with the pricing filed on my site, I created a drop down filed for my prices that looked like this:
    578.00
    620.00
    648.00
    680.00
    740.00
    820.00
    838.00
    920.00
    980.00
    1070.00
    1299.00
    1799.00
but in the front-end when i sort them alphabetically, it looks like this
    1070.00
    1299.00
    1799.00
    578.00
    620.00
    648.00
    680.00
    740.00
    820.00
    838.00
    920.00
    980.00

I know I can sort by ordering but I will need to add more prices later on and if I do ordering it will out of order because the new prices will have to be added at the bottom. I also tried putting 5 blank fields in-between each of the price, thinking that since I checked “No” to the Show null option it just would not show in the front-end because they are blank. but in the front-end it showed those blank fields as numbers which looked liked this.

    578.00
    2
    3
    4
    5
    620.00
    7
    8
    9
    10
    11
    648.00
    13
    14
    15
    16
    17
    680.00
    19
    20
    21
    22
    23
    740.00
    25
    26
    27
    28
    29
    30
    etc……
Why it is showing these numbers and why if I select not to show null fields is it showing these numbers in the front-end?

I am now trying to use the value range option but it is not working, can you help me please. I would prefer to have a resolution to the drop-down issue but if their is no solution, can you help me figure out what I am doing wrong with the value range configuration.

    Thank you
    Joseph

    Hello Joseph,

Value Range option only works with K2 extra field Type Text Field.

Please change the type of K2 Extra field to Text Field, then go to Module JA K2 Filter change option of this Extra field to value range.

You can find how to setting this option in this doc: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-component/ja-k2-filter#new-feature (locate in Feature 4 – Version: 1.0.7)

Yes I know, I had changed it to a text field and re-entered all the prices but not only did not work but it took a very long time to come up with the null results for all range prices even though I had entered all the price fields with prices. So I changed it back to a drop-down filed which I would like to have working in alphabetical order to reflect

    this
    578.00
    620.00
    648.00
    680.00
    740.00
    820.00
    838.00
    920.00
    980.00
    1070.00
    1299.00
    1799.00

    and not this
    1070.00
    1299.00
    1799.00
    578.00
    620.00
    648.00
    680.00
    740.00
    820.00
    838.00
    920.00
    980.00

    in the frontend

    Hello,

At this time, JA K2 filter only supports sorting for Alphabet, not for numbering.
We will update the sorting function for next version, I have created a ticket for this issue: http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAK2FILTER-170. You can track it for update processing.
