Quick question regarding the JA Slideshow for this template

is it possible to get it so that when a person clicks on a image at the slideshow that it links to a news topic?

    Thanks

    It is possible.

In Administrator, please go to Extensions -> Module manager to edit Ja_slideshow modue.
In the edit page, you will find texts in Description parameters texarea.
You can change # text to your link.

How can you make tha tlink open in a new window? So if you are linking to an external webpage, it opens in a new window.

newbie here, but logically I will try:

<p><span>Maecenas nibh congue justo est adipiscing elit.</span>
<span>Nibh justo elit nunc Pellentesque malesuada</span>
    <span>Faucibus malesuada semper.</span>
    </p>

    Should work????

It’s probably a tutorial on the ja-slideshow somewhere?

Generally use the _blank parameter as in

    <a target=”_blank” href=”http://sitename.com”>link description</a>

I tried that – it adds that to the URL – which doesn’t work.

You can’t put that in the parameters – I’m assuming there needs to be an edit done in the php file for jaslideshow

    Link fuction doesn’t work.

    For example:

    <p><span>Sunset Key Cottages, Florida</span>
    </p>

If I click on the image nothing happens at all, it doesn’t link to above example website.

    What am I doing wrong????

    <h3>Image 1 </h3>
    <p>Test pour image 1.</p>

Work in Slideshow 2 but how to open a new page, mystery, for now it open in _self, I guess you can put a joomla internal link.

    need to go deeper…..

Nice modules but where are the tutorials and help to make them work?

    Kinda strange.
    Happeneing me too.

Using that code it links albeit incorrectly to my homepage in firefox and in IE 7 it doesnt work at all.

    example of code i’m using

<h1> Call Of Duty Modern Warfare</h1>
<p><span>Maecenas nibh congue justo est adipiscing elit.</span><span>Nibh justo elit nunc Pellentesque malesuada</span><span>Faucibus malesuada semper.</span></p>

<h1>Call of Duty World at War</h1>
<p><span>Maecenas nibh congue justo est adipiscing elit.</span><span>Nibh justo elit nunc Pellentesque malesuada</span><span>Faucibus malesuada semper.</span></p>

Just started playing about with this today and can get the slidshow to appear with text
but links wont work and no thumbnails will show.

    site ( http://www.northernirelandcrew.co.uk
