Hi, if I activate the module Ja-news without any modify, this is the error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /web/htdocs/www.cuesrepairs.com/home/modules/mod_janews/helper.php on line 102

can you help me?

and please I woulk like t remove this black square. I’ve tried to work in the template but I didn’t find the solution. (see the attached images or http://www.cuesrepairs.com/)

same here, i just installed the quickstart package, all works well (the installation) but when I go to my site, it came out with the same problem as pierluigi, someone can help please?

May be the problem is from the php version:

Pls open the file: modules/mod_janews/helper.php and file code:
[PHP]
function __construct( $module, $params = null ) {

$this->_params = $params ? $params : new JParameter ( ” );
$this->loadUserSetting ( $module );
}
[/PHP]

and replace:
[PHP]
function modJaNewsHelper( $module, $params = null ){
$this->__construct( $module, $params );
}
function __construct( $module, $params = null ) {

$this->_params = $params ? $params : new JParameter ( ” );
$this->loadUserSetting ( $module );
}
[/PHP]
