yes but also varchar(255) can cause problems…

and if you “change” the database as you said (from phpmyadmin)
then in case of changing the field from JA Board’s admin area then the field will changed back to varchar(255)!!!
should override the fields (db) size via admin…

Hi
I had the same problem, when my backend was switched to Language: polish.
When i back to English, problem disappear. Rebuilt work great. (but not for updated in Polish backend)

Please try to use phpmyadmin or a MySQL tool to reduce the value of field length to the expected value.
