thx, i will try to do that tomorrow (the site is still under construction and i need another router for that)

BTW. i could reproduce the issue with a clean install of joomla + purity (Purity III quickstart Aug 19, 2017)

Are you getting this issue before Joomla update?
This template is not ready for latest Joomla3.8 and quickstart package is not using this version of Joomla.

i never tried before to copy a template

but i tried this also with "Purity III quickstars" that is why i dot not believe joomla 3.8 cause the issue when iam back at home i will upload "purity test" on my server maybe you can then discover some differences

You can share the details. Also ask the host provider for permission of temp folder.
If its not writable to add the file this can be issue.

currently i host the site on my pc (i am using xampp) until i am done with it
now i ask myself which permissions does purity need more than protostar

So it’s working on your localhost? I have shared the details of tmp folder permission and purity template folder permission.
As the issue not found in localhost and on my live server as well its something wrong from your server side.
Kindly check it with hosting provider for permission issue of files and folders.

nope, i removed the write protection.

i do not understand why i can duplicate the protosar template and not the purity template.
does the purity template need access to more folders and so on?

You have to check the language file that is showing the error in your screenshot.
And replace it with fresh package, you can get FTP details from your server.
Its hard to assume the issue as i am not able to replicate this issue on our server and localhost too.
