    Hi,

In the documentation (https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/uber-template/customizing-uber-template#customize-template) section 2.4, we are instructed to create a directory structure (templates/uber/local/less) and a file, template.less. In this file we put custom css code.

While testing custom css code in template.less, we must do the following to see any changes:

    1. Turn Development Mode “ON.”

    2. Flush and disable all Cache in the control panel of web host; especially Siteground account. Siteground has a Cache feature called “Super Charger” accessible in the “Site Improvement Tools” section of the control panel.

    3. Joomla-core-cache (Located in Global Configuration > System > Cache Settings) and browser cache don’t seem to effect/delay changes to template.less so this is not an issue.

    Questions:

    1. What is the difference between using a custom template.less file as instructed, and using a custom.css file?

    2. The documentation says the template.less file will “Auto compile.” What does this mean?

    3. To see custom changes in the template.less file, we have to use the !important rule. Why is there no mention of this in the documentation!?

    4. Siteground is one of the biggest Joomla hosting companies in the world, even host all the Joomla.com sites; Why is there no mention of Siteground’s “Super Charger” cache feature in the documentation, or at least a “Warning” to Joomlart users to be aware of, and disable any cache features in a host’s control panel!? I have wasted countless hours troubleshooting custom css and wasting the time of Joomla support staff creating tickets and forum post because of Hosting cache features such as this.

    Thanks!
