All the articles were originally associated with the the same article but with different languages, and now all the association seems to go wrong. I checked again and the association is properly associated in the backend but not in the frontend. I am not sure about the reason. Can you help?

Hi, I think most of the articles have wrong association. The article you mentioned ie thread face lifting has correct association with english and traditional chinese but wrong association with simplified chinese. For other articles, the association with English- Traditional Chinese- Simplified Chinese are wrong, you can try again for other articles. Thanks.

Hi
You are using sh404 for redirection when i disable this extension Joomla language association is working fine.
Kindly temp, disable the extension and check the articles.It might be the issue of this extension with Joomla3.8. You may ask the extension provider for the association issue.

hi, I checked with the extension provider and he checked with his extension. He said SH404SEF is not involved in this as the problem is the same when SH404SEF is DISABLED. he said it is probably the problem with the template as it provides an override for the standard Joomla language switcher module.
Can you check with it again?

Also, i suggest you to restore the site backup if you are facing issue with Joomla3.8.1 as the template is not updated for this version.

Hi, it’s not working on my side. your screenshot only show the backend association. Did you switch the language on the front end? I mean click on the right upper corner for the language switcher. It is not working definitely. If you want, I can take a video and show you.

Can you please restore the site back up to compatible version first? So I can further check it or share the details of the test site. The template is not ready for Joomla3.8.1 at this time.

Understand. How can I restore the site back to 3.7? If I restore to 3.7, would it have any effects on other part of the sites including the extension?
