Seaneo, i really like your site performance. How did you improve it ? Do you use any special caching plugins ?

Your adsense integration inside the wall is great . Now, if you can replicate that across the entire wall, on each page load triggered by infinite scroll … you are THE MAN :laugh:

Hi seaneo,

I have check the website.
Just two simple Custom HTML will do the job.
For the ads on the mainblock, they use Corner-stamp feature.
And the ads on the left sidebar, they use sidebar position.

This is a not too hard to do so. 😀

Refreshing topic.

On the http://praguepost.com/ are in many places blocks of ads. Does anyone know how they do it?

regards

@Kynofryc,

To add many ads like that, you can try the followings:

Step 1: Create module (for advertisement, you should use custom module then add advertisement content)

Step 2: Assign the module to position corner-stamp (please keep in mind to assign the menu that the module are enabled)

Step 3: Configure the width size of the module position

Hope this helps

Just as you showed you can only extend the module, but he will always be “glued” to the right edge of the site. I want to have ads in the middle of the wall, as in the http://praguepost.com/.

@ kinofryc,

To implement the ads on http://praguepost.com would require a lot customisation.
It would be better to hire a developer to help you on this.

Anyway, I include here some steps for this customisation that mimic the same on http://praguepost.com.
Please BACKUP before going ahead with any modification.

1. As per http://praguepost.com, we use joomla default com_banners to create ads. So you need to create those banner items (ads)
2. Go to Module Manager and create as many Banner modules as you wish.
3. Use {loadmodule banners,moduletitle} (http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F) or http://www.nonumber.nl/extensions/modulesanywhere/userguide to embed banner module to article and add ‘advertisement’ class to Extended Class.
Make sure these new articles will be placed in a category and it should be shown as other articles.

4. Overwrite the existing blog_item.php with this patch.

Hope it helps.

Done! Thanks a lot!
I’ve also added a new look div class without a frame.
I wrote in the file template.css:
.advertisement .item-main {
padding: 0px;
}

.advertisement {
line-height: 0;
}
(so did “Praquepost”)

thank you Nazario A and Wall Crasher.
Crasher, you are the best.

greetings from Polish
