I’m trying to upgrade because JoomShopping isn’t working properly and I don’t see a clear way in the documentation to upgrade the template with the core joomla to 2.5.x

Please help with a link to explicit instructions.

Hi Teleactive1,

– First, you need upgrade Joomla core to 2.5.x , please check out user guide http://docs.joomla.org/Upgrading_from_Joomla_1.7_to_Joomla_2.5
– Second, use JA Extensions Manager for upgrade all JA products , please check out user guide http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/Admin_Panel , http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/How-to .
– Regarding Jomshopping, i think that you should download latest version of this component and install override it on your site.

PS: Remember to BACKUP your site first before upgrading

If you install an override you will loose all the products in the shop. You can update joomshopping BUT it must be in small steps i.e. 3.3 – 3.4, 3.4 -3.5 etc. The files are located HERE. You may have some problems with the joomshopping template after an upgrade. JA have new files HERE.
