Hi’
Would it be possible to change the frontpage carousel so it would play a videoclip instead of the images – and maintaining the text overlay?

Hi
Sorry, the slideshow module is used only for the Images. If you want a similar module you can take a look on JA Uber template demo site and see the Hero block.
You can use ACM module from Uber template to other templates with help of this documentation.
