    Hello JA

I have a Purity III site for registered users only who log in on at http://intranet.example.co.uk.

I use the featured item views component on the homepage so this means the Home menu link uses: index.php?option=com_content&view=featured so when they click the "Home" menu link it returns them to the log-in screen for http://intranet.example.co.uk/index.php.

I have set SEF URLs in the backend Config.

When I set "Use URL Rewriting" I get the home link working fine, but the rest of the site is looking for URLs which don’t exist so every link is a 404.

Please can you advise how best to resolve this or what I am missing?

    Thank you

    David

    Hi David,

When enabling the option ‘Use URL Rewriting’, you probably use .htaccess file where you define rules for your site. I think there maybe something wrong there. you can ask your server / hosting for help.

If you’re not familiar with it, I recommend you to use a 3rd party extension for SEF URL such as SH404SEF, etc …
