1.) Template Upgrade-
Can JA Purity on Joomla1.5 be upgraded to the latest Joomla version (2.5) and should the template be upgraded to JA Purity II? Will the work & site customisation that I have already done to lost? We ideally want to upgrade to a completely different template JA NEX, however due to Joomla 1.5 becoming obsolete in April, we are under pressure to upgrade our site asap. It is in our plans to upgrade to the JA Nex template as I said, however I know is a redesign of our current site, different module positions/layout etc. So what is the best practice steps to upgrading?

Can I upgrade Joomla independently of the template or is that a stupid question?

Also is it the case that JA Purity 2.5 is built on the JAT3 Framework but JA purity is not, so are they completely different templates?
