You can update the JA Templates and extensions from JA Extension Manager component.
Here are the steps helps you to configure JAEM.

I followed the instructions and put in my username and password. Success.

When I click on "template", I am getting an error. Please see attachment.

Hi
You have to click on templates under Extension Manager tab.
It looks like you are checking Repository folder does not present as there is no backup for this version of Joomla.
Click on templates http://prntscr.com/hnoohp and you will have the option to update.
