Hi, I set the CHMOD to be able to overwrite the logo in this template, but I am not able to overwrite the existing logo. I even tried to delete the logo, so that I could upload a new one, and it would not allow me to do that either. Very frustrating! Please help!!

January 2, 2010 at 7:16 am #327948Hi Arvind, I appreciate your offer to help. My site is just in it’s beginning phases and not yet ready to go live. Can you just post the simple instructions for overriding an existing logo.png in a template/images file? I just simply want to post my own logo over the exisiting Seleni logo. Seems like a pretty straight-forward task. I’ve never had difficulty doing so with any other JA templates. Scratching my head…

January 2, 2010 at 7:26 am #327949Dear valart,
To replace the logo, you need to overwrite it. Or delete the old one and replace with new one.
It seems you have done it both. The problem seems with the File / folder permissions for your site.If you want us to have a look, please forward your site and FTP info.
I am sure you have not read the support guidelines, the submitted info is seen only by mods and above. Please follow the steps and submit the same. Or else raise a Support Ticket. We cant resolve such issues until we can try it out on our own.

January 2, 2010 at 7:27 am #327950Can you possibly tell me exactly which File / folder permissions need to be set and at what settings in order to overwrite or delete the exisiting logo? That would be very helpful! 🙂

January 4, 2010 at 2:19 pm #328150This isn’t a problem with the template, this is a rights issue with your server, especially if you can’t deleted or overwrite files. If you can’t provide your site info, inquire with your server support team for assistance.
Set the file permissions to overwrite
