I am unable to embed videos in the articles using plugins or embed code.

I tried the following plugins
easyembed
OSYoutube
SWB Video Embed

and also entering embed code from youtube.

No luck

If you are using embed code from Youtube please turn off editor by config it in Joomla! Global Configuration.

tried it with editor off but when I click on save it removes the iframe code

Solved by turning filtering off for super user in global configuration – text filters

embed plugins still don’t work but embed code does.
When I change templates from Teline V to another the embed plugin works but as soon as I place it back on Teline V, it does not.

On Teline V, content plugin events are missed.
That’s why plugin can’t work. Please use embed code instead.

Why are they “missed?” Why don’t you fix that. We all use many plugins and modules.

That one already mentioned with team. They will take look soon.
But for embedding i would prefer to use embed code instead for all cases. It’ll much better via plugin.

Please… Any updates on content plugins?

I just don’t understand how your Teline V template does not allow content plugins.
Teline IV had that functionality, why take it away in Teline V ?

I can embed videos using code, but I CAN NOT embed pdf’s, nor use Joomlart’s own JA Thumbnail nor any other automatic thumbnail resizing plugin.

Taking away something as useful as content plugins is just not acceptable.

Please let us know if your team plans to ad this core feature to Teline V in the near future

I just don’t get why it didn’t occur to the team that developed this template that folks would want to use third party extensions.

You created a template that blocked a lot of the basic functionality of Joomla. It seems like you said, “Let’s just throw something out there and we’ll fix whatever they complain about most.”

We shouldn’t have had to pay money to be beta testers for your template.
