Hi,
Thanks for the Purity III for Joomla 3.0
Successful upload of QuickStart, and successful Installation

Site Point-of-view :
1) The website is identical as the Demo-site …. thanks
2) Default layout is [Features Intro] … fine
3) As user, I can change Layout(s) successfully
4) so, the the site is OK

What do I want :
To assign “Corporate Layout” as a default template/layout to the whole site
I thought it very simple

Administration Point-of-view :
1) Change the template to whatever … it doesn’t work
2) Change the to whatever … it doesn’t work
3) Change the to whatever … it doesn’t work
it remains the same “Features Intro” regardless what I change.

so … any suggestions?

Hi,

You can assign the “Corporate Layout” to every menu item. Try this and let me know if it helps you out.

I tried it … with the same results

• Extensions -> Template Manager -> Purity III Corporate
• Default : All
• Assignment: Checked all menus
• checked it is the “default” one
• Saved

The site still running with “Features Intro 2”

Hi,

You can try this, just un assign all other instances of the template and then clear your browsers cookies and check again.

Template Settings

• Restored all default settings
• Un-assign all other instances of the template

The results remain the same

Browser’s cookies & cache

• Chrome – Cleared Cookies : same result -> default layout “Features Intro 2”
• Firefox – Cleared Cookies : same result -> default layout “Features Intro 2”
• Firefox – Cleared Cookies : same result -> default layout “Features Intro 2”

and I still can change it from the site menu “LAYOUTS” and the site itself responds perfectly

unexpected behavior, I think.

Hi,

You need to make those modules published to your home page otherwise you can’t actually see the Slideshow to your home page.

3. and how the default homepage is different from “Corporate layout” when you select it from the “LAYOUT” menu

I found what you need.
Go to Menu manager
click check box next to Corporate Layout then click star next to Corporate layout i little bit in right same line.
this will make Corporate layout default layout
