How can I set the system to display all categories by default under the news on the front page, without requiring the user to go to settings first and check all that he wants to see.

Hello Rudy,

You can go to JA News Pro module settings, then set “Maximum Subcategories” to a number larger than number of subcategories in each top parent category.
