    If profile->menu settings->start level =0 and end level=0, then only the parent level items in the menu should be displayed. With the dropline menu (and perhaps others) this does not happen–instead the parent and 1st level of child items are displayed.

    Why would you want to essentially turn off the dropline on a dropline menu? To simplify the visitors’ navigation options and funnel them to major areas of the site you might want to stop the dropline subnav menu from appearing on a key index page but allow it on deeper pages.

    im having the same issue if i set the levels to
    start level = 1
    end level = 1
    the menu disappears altogether. i just want the have the first level show with no submenus atall. i’ve also tried 0 1, 0 0 ect… to no advale
