    Hi all

    How do I make the slideshow spread across 100% width? I want it like the slideshow in JA Methys.

    I am not technical so will only edit the code in this slideshow. I don’t want to import anything.

    My Joomla version is 1.7, and it is the JA Rave template.

    Thanks guys!

    Hi

    In your template manager — default layout now you have this layout

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <layout name="desktop">
    <!--Extra css load for this layout-->
    <stylesheets>
    </stylesheets>
    <blocks name="top" style="xhtml">
    <block name="absolute" type="modules" style="raw">absolute</block>
    <block name="top-panel" type="modules" style="raw" main-inner="1">top-panel</block>
    <block name="mainnav" type="mainnav" main-inner="1"></block>
    <block name="slideshow" type="modules" no-main="1" >slideshow</block>
    <block name="header" type="header" main-inner="1"></block>
    <block name="cpanel" type="usertools/cpanel"></block>
    <block name="topsl" type="spotlight" main-inner="1">user1,user2,user3,user4,user5</block>
    </blocks>
    <blocks name="middle" colwidth="35">
    <block name="inset1" width="20">left</block>
    <block name="content-mass-top">slideshow</block>
    <block name="right1">right</block>
    </blocks>
    <blocks name="bottom" style="xhtml">
    <block name="navhelper" type="navhelper" main-inner="1"></block>
    <block name="botsl" type="spotlight" main-inner="1" >user6,user7,user8,user9,user10</block>
    <block name="footer" type="footer"></block>
    </blocks>
    </layout>

    Look at the RED block you need to add that block to your default layout then goto the Ja_Slideshow module and switch it to Methys Profile clearly after you need to resize your images to the new dimension of the slideshow

    Look also at the GREEN block if you don’t need it anymore you can remove the entire block

    Thanks Pavit, but how do I change the slideshow module to Methys profile?

    I tried your suggestion and it has spread the whole slideshow across 100% of the browser, not like Methys.

    It needs to 1040 pixels wide, that’s all.

    Help!

    Goto your Ja_Slideshow module open it and on the right panel you have Profile Settings with two voices Profile and Skin

    switch the Profile to Methys and Skin to – Use Default –

    Hi Pavit

    I found the place to change profile but that reverted the style to Rave default. I have made style changes and dont want to lose them, so i reverted back to Rave profile.

    How do I change the width of the slideshow to 1040px wide?

    Thanks

    I guess i confused you. I should have said that i want the slideshow to spread across the main area of the website, not the whole screen. My fault.

    I only need the slideshow to increase to 1040px width, across the right column, so all right modules go below.

    Can you help?

    Thanks

    Hi

    Try to publish your ja_slideshow module in User1 position

    That worked.

    I had to make some code changes to #ja-topsl .main including a -36px margin, but it looks good.

    Thanks
