I am very familiar with Joomla and JA Templates, but I’m struggling with something…

The site name appears above the main content, and I can’t get rid of it. Any ideas??

you can edit template.css (line 314)

h1.componentheading, .componentheading {
display:none; --> add this line
font-size:175%;
margin:0 0 10px;
padding:0 0 10px;
}
