hello Guys,

Our new website is online since 2 hours with the responsive template from Joomlart JA Wall. We customized the theme quite heavy and I wanted to share our website with.

And off course, some feedback would be very nice! (the website is in dutch)

It’s just brilliant, the way you integrate the news, commercials and tweets is just brilliant. And the customized theme looks fabulous too!

Only small thing I have an issue with is that I’m unclear what articles on the homepage can be clicked and what can’t. But that’s probably because I’m not used to the site yet =)

Hmm… some negative news. I happen to be interested in seeing how you address the SEO on your website since it’s gone live so I went back for another visit and realize that your articles meta descriptions are either empty or showing ” “. (News is fine.)

For example this page

http://www.frissekom.nl/werk/item/20-promotie-winsum

This is going to cause a few problem for you. One, those pages may very well just appear on Google with those descriptions. Also since you integrated social share into your site, sharing to Facebook or Google+ resulted in your page having nothing as the description or ” “. That needs to be looked at, else it’s not good for page ranking =)

Your homepage and category page has no meta descriptions as well so descriptions are just being blindly pulled from your news articles if it’s there. Not good as well. Your og:images tags are wrong as well but that’s probably not your fault. I did report the bug but they didn’t fix it *cough*.

But currently if your homepage is shared to Facebook, this is the image being used http://www.frissekom.nl//media/k2/items/cache/fa55c8bad0e242eb7986dc1135b50adb_XL.jpg which I don’t think is your business logo.

Hmm your Facebook like button has some overflow issue as well, the share bubble is trapped behind when you click to like it. Quite alot of SEO and social share tags you will need to fix if you intend to get traffic from those areas =)

Hi Wnrdesing, thanks for showing us the link to your site, also I have this template and I want ask you the cover sheet settings (home)

I made some changes to my website and is not shown as the original template. My items are all deformed and without aesthetics

And also ask if you’ve had trouble removing the old items that come with the template.
