Would anyone know why “component” pages are getting indexed?
I’m trying to “no index” anything that should not be and have requested that several pages be removed from indexing through Google Webmaster.
Can anyone advise me as to how to stop this? :((

I would suggest you raise the question in Joomla forum, for instance in this category. You might find better assistance there.
