    Hi all, not sure if anyone else is having this issue. Basically when a new user registers on the site Joomla 1.5.12 with this template the user does not receive the welcome message with the link and the administrator does not receive an email either. So the emails are not working – therefore the user cannot use the activation link at all!!

    Any help much appreciated as this is very annoying as I have alot of work to this template before testing this and now the simpliest of things does not work!!! :((

    Are you positive it’s a problem with the template and not a problem in the Joomla Global configuration. You might have something wrong with the user settings or the mail setting there. Check it out.

    Yes this is handles by Joomla and has nothing to do with the template.

    Try turning on debugging and error reporting in your global config to see if reports any problems.

    Thank yo uvery much for your response – this was actually a setting on the server that was not allowing for the php mail setting in global config. All sorted now on the server side and as you both say had nothing to do with this template – my apologies.
