Does anyone know why this error messaging is appearing or how to solve it?

Well the error is showing because your cache folder is not writable, and it should be writable for joomla.

What you should do is connect to your webserver with FTP and change the permissions on the cache folder (CHMOD). Try Setting the permissions to 755 and see if the error is gone.
