    I’m hosting my site with Godaddy. I built my site on http://www.laloftreview.com and need to move it to http://www.lafilmweekend.com

    Is there a tutorial on how to do this or can someone help? Thanks

    I didn’t understand you clearly sorry, as I understand if you want to move your Joomla installation (site) from one directory to the another one you can watch these videos.
    I hope helps… 🙂

    This seems like it is for restoring the site and not moving it to a new URL.

    Both of my URLs are purchased through Godaddy and hosted on Godaddy.

    I need to move my site from – http://www.laloftreview.com – to – http://www.lafilmweekend.com

    The best ways, you should contact The Godaddy Hostting Service asking them to resolve your issue

    There are some ways::

    1, Redirect the new domain to the old one.
    2, Make a copy of the site to the new host::
    – Use FTP to copy all files and folders from current host to the new host.
    – Backup the current database, create a new database in new server, then import the backed-up data into.
    – Open file configuration.php to correct all new configs.

    GoDaddy should be able to help but if not there is a package that will do the job perfectly for you.

    The free tool from http://www.akeebabackup.com/ allows you to take a full backup of a Joomla install then re-install it exactly as it was at a new location.
