Now the logo in the upper left of the page is only a small image. But what is the best way to get the logo or header over the full width of the page ? Make changes in the css ?

Yes .. and, depending on what exactly it is you’re going for, you may need to create a new position for the full-width logo as well.

I want a image above the navigation bar with the same width (as the navbar-inner class)
