I want the template to be left aligned against the left side of the browser instead of center as by default.

in the css, I found this:

/* MAIN LAYOUT DIVS
--------------------------------------------------------- */
#ja-wrapper {
width: 950px;
margin: 0 auto;

So I removed the auto and it left aligned perfectly in FF and chrome but in ie7 it is still centered.

What am I missing?

Did you refresh your cache in IE7?

I am feeling a little bit… 😮 right now.. ooops.

Yes, I had emptied both my IE cache and that of JRECache, but I was using css optimization which for some reason still messed things up.

addendum: it was the css compression that did it. weird!
