I just did a fresh install of the Olivine Quickstart for 1.5.8 and my language packs (Spanish admin/Site) do not work. Everything seems to be fine in terms of xml:lang=”es-es”, lang=”es-es”
and Meta content=”text/html; charset=utf-8″

I’ve also run the same packs in other Ja installations in my local server which is utf-8 compatible and they always work. I think there’s gotta be a switch somewhere in the Olivine code to make the language work.

I solved the problem. I had a look through the template CSS and noticed that the body font for this template is set as: Helvetica. This font is probably flawed in my CP. I changed it to Arial and now it works fine. Go figure!
