No matter which Joomlart template I use for a menu or assign to a menu item, the default template displays. Has this been resolved??

I upgraded, to 3.65 about a week ago and didn’t notice the problem.
I upgraded from version 3.6.4 (which worked fine)
I just uploaded a new free version of JA Simple (JA Simpli Joomla 3) to test the problem.
Template changes are not recognized when the template is selected by Menu option, nor extensions/templates/menu assignment.

Protostar is my default template.
If a change the default template to Ja Simpli, then the Protostar is not recognized
What could prevent other templates from being recognized?
When they are switched to the default template they are recognized, and work fine?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Template assignment is done by Joomla , kindly try to set default template as simply and assign protostar for a menu. It issue from your Joomla i think.
