When I activate SEF in the Joomla 1.5 global configuration for this site, it does add the index.php in the link name, but causes pages other than the home page to loose the site template design and styles. I looked at the index.php page to confirm that links to the stylesheets were written aboslute and they are. Please provide help asap as I want to enable the search engine friendly urls but I cant keep the site design!

did you set up your htaccess file and rename it .htaccess

Cant rename that file in Windows and it doesnt use it anyway because I am using IIS. I tried the following article and still have no luck on the site, using the IIS part.
