It won’t be long until IE8 is shipped – beta 2 released on 27 August 08 and there seems to be an issue with the top and footer positioning.

For the moment we can add to the head:

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" />

which will make IE8 render as IE7 so it is not an urgent problem but I do hope you will update iris at some point.
