I installed a test site based on the Quickstart files. As I am going to use K2 I imported the Joomla content and changed the module configurations to K2 content. Unfortunately the News Frontpage Module does no show any K2 item! Something else to configure???

Here are the changes I made:
– articles imported do K2
– menu item HOME changed to ‘K2 – item listings – categories’, K2 categories selected: ALL
– News Frontpage module: Content settings changed from ‘Joomla Content’ to ‘K2’

Sorry, after having disabled nearly all modules I have to admit that the Frontpage Module works fine with K2 content. I am testing now every module with module title enabled. Sorry again …
