What I’m missing here is some kind of identity, it looks like the top part of the website is cut-off. I personally would create some room above where I can place a logo and the name of the site.
I like your voting mechanism though, where did you get that?

yes. we’re preparing the logo or some identity for this site.
about the voting system, called ‘AJAX Vote’ you can download free from http://joomlaworks.gr/. the plugin is very nice and powerfull.
