as any other job board should work as in logically … Can you please tell me if the version for joomla 2.5 maybe has been (hopefully) updated to allow admins /users to add NEW EMPLOYER without having to use joomla ACL and have to create an EMPLOYER AS A JOOMLA USER???????????????????????? THat makes absolutely no sense on how anyone would link those two (to cumbersome joomla or the database and create a new wave of queries in the sql maybe, or to annoy people and not let them easily create NEW EMPLOYER when they create a NEW JOB – field – select – employer – add new employer – opens up a pop up modal window or redirects if you are incapable of programming it that way, to a different page where you can add EMPLOYERS that are NOT joomla users!!!!!!!!!)
If there is such way (obviously not in the demo, since that is for joomla 1.5 users, which btw, you should upgrade as well, doubtfully your software is going to be downloaded to be used with the 1.5 version since that version is obsolete) then disregard my above statement and please point me to a DEMO that provides that answer. How you expect people to PURCHASE your component BLINDLY I have no clue, but I guess it takes guts… and if not for a well designed component, you at least have the balls to ask us, your clients,to “trust” you and buy something that is ill conceived and designed.
    Thanks
I am sure your answer will be something like..is what is, and if you do not like it, dont buy it… if there will be an answer at all.

    Dear Siona,

I would like to clarify your questions as follows:

If you check our demo site http://demo25.jobboard.joomlart.com/ and user guide, you can see:
    – User permission: http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Administration#User_Permissions
    – Import Jobboard user from Joomla users: http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Administration#Import_Joomla_Users

Our component works based on Joomla user system but it does not use Joomla ACL, it has its own ACL system.

Even, we provide Demo builder system for you to create a demo site for your own at http://joomweb.com.

    Exactly

redundant import. I have to create joomla users first then import them as employers!!!!
Why cant i just create employer separate from joomla users.
So basically, you agree with me. I cannot imagine why i need to create joomla users when really employers are not my backend website users and or you should allow people to decide wherever they have to give control to the employer user group or they can retain the access and control themselves> plus you are creating vulnerabilities because you link joomla users and your job board users. They should by all means, be independent and be able to be created independently.
    But
    that being said
thanks for the demo link. Maybe you guys can post it somewhere on the site that is more obvious.
Im going to opt for a free job board that does exactly what yours does but allows me to create employers when i create a new job posting ***** add new employer*******
dont know about your thought process on that one,but i would try make my software as user friendly as possible. Being able to add employers easily since is a job board not a social networking board a forum etc, is essential.
    Thanks for your reply

    Dear Siona,

Infact, the Job system is complex system. It must manage employers, jobseekers, jobs, payments and everything related, additionally, JA Job Board work on Joomla framework, so the Jobboard user system depending on Joomla user is understandable. We will still discuss and see if there is an easy way to improve on the workflow.

    Best regards
