the content slider is using an image from another article to populate images for all other articles, I even unpublished and deleted the article and it is still using it. Any ideas?

Try clearing you cache.

I did clear the cache, but i figured it out. I was adding images to stories using the url instead up uploading the actual image. It works now that I upload the image rather than using the image url. Thanks.
