As you can see, the top slideshow has a black top and left border surrounding it.. may I know how can I remove that?

Not wise to put this information here – it has been known for google to pick up these threads.

This is better to go in a PM to a helper or joomlart staff.

I would change your ID and PW info then post again without giving this info and with the site live so that we can see the problem.

Open modules/mod_jaslideshow2/assets/ja.slideshow2.css file, at about line 25, find following code:

.ja-slide-item img {
background:#000000 none repeat scroll 0 0;
border:1px solid #1C1C1C;
padding:4px;
}

and change to:

.ja-slide-item img {
padding:4px;
}
