    Hello,

You can just move the files from the subfolder /Joomla to the main folder.

Then open your configuration.php file and adjust the file paths. For example log and TMP directories and point them also from the /Joomla to the main folder.

And then you should be all done 🙂

Did you use Godaddy’s Website Tonight to upload your files? If yes then you won’t see your files. Either you upload your files to the root folder using Godaddy’s CPanel or do it with a FTP. If you haven’t got a FTP I suggest Filezilla.

    What host do you use?

C-panel should allow you to create a joomla site using the Fantastico. Once you’ve installed joomla you can transfer your current files (from domain.com/joomla) to the main root folder (at domain.com).

    My 2 cents

Yes I find that using cpanel fantastico make setting up of joomla as easy a abc.

I previously have a hosting account with Godaddy but there are a lot of trouble or maybe I am not that good at it when it comes to setting up account or anything to do with php.

After I switch to a hosting account with cpanel, it comes with fantastico and other features that make setting up of things so much easier.

Hope these information is useful to you.

Godaddy isn’t really popular among the internet marketing crowd but one reason I like them is the automagic joomla installation. Easy peasy.

How come? I got a few domains under them currently, please share any bad experiences you or others have with them so I can avoid if necessary. Thanks 🙂

Godaddy is good for domain names hosting, although a little bit expensive than others, I think. But what I learned in my limited experience is, you must have separate servers for hosting your domain name and and another for hosting your website. 🙂

Interesting point, do you mind explaining more why it’s best to get domain and host separately?
