How to change the maximum width of the site?
Change the values in the file variables.less no result. (bs3 & joomla 3.2.x)

Are you in development mode? If not, you will need to compile LESS to CSS from the admin. If you are in development mode, the compilation will be done at display time rather than manually, which is more efficient during development time.
