June 10, 2011 at 5:32 pm #165085Hi there
I have created a site in JA Droid, which is a great template. My only problem is that the URL structure does not includes the category.
A URL example is http://www.mywebsite.com/index.php/ipad
I don’t want the ‘index.php/’ but instead need the category name, for example, Apple.
How do I do this please Joomla experts?
Thanks

June 11, 2011 at 3:46 am #395807This is based on how to you setup your SEF links. Please try SH404SEF. That will help you in this case.

June 13, 2011 at 10:28 am #396081There is nothing in the .htaccess file. I do have a htaccess.txt file aswell in there. Not sure why there is both but thats how the template downloaded it I guess.
Here is the text within the other file…

Step 1. change the htaccess.txt to .htaccess from the directory where Joomla CMS is installed.
Step 2. Go to Site>Control Panel
Under the tab of “Server” change the settings of “Use Apache mod_rewrite” from “No” to “Yes”. -
