When adding Google tag manager to the template via T3 and , it ruins the frontend sidebar. I do not have an example anymore, but I am sure it is because of T3 or the template and how it behaves with it.

You only showed me in your printscreen that a piece of code needed to be injected into the head, but gtm also says that another piece of code should be injected into the body. THAT piece of body code is the problem as it seems. Check now.
