I am having the same issue with Social II. And I know how to use JA Extension Manager. It does not work. It does not even find all the updates.

Hi
You are Using Joomla updates , Kindly update the Extension via JA Extension Manager .
Also as you said you already knows about JAEM, if you have already updated the extension just clean cache from Joomla updates and these update notices will be removed.
