Issue with installing JA Bistro template.

Joomla 1.7 on VPS.

I was installing each plugins, modules individually through Extension Manager (Extension > Extension Manager).
I suceeded in installing the plugins and modules.
I could not install the template. – ja_bistro.v1.1.0.zip

I got the following error:
There was an error uploading this file to the server.
Unable to find install package

I can unzip the template zip file – ja_bistro.v1.1.0.zip to the “templates” folder if it’s as simple as that.

Please suggest.

My recommendation to you is to wipe the slate clean – including any pre-installed Joomla scripts and your current database – and start fresh following THESE STEPS

Hasn’t failed me yet.

Thanks Tom.

It was the Max Upload issue in php.ini
Changing it from 2MB to 8MB fixed the problem.
